About SUDC

Since Haley was more than 12 months old when she died, her death is not considered Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Instead, her death belongs to a lesser-known category, Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), which describes the death of healthy children after their first birthday.

The SUDC Program was founded in September 2001 to provide a centralized resource of information, research, support and advocacy. Since SUDC is just recently being recognized, few resources exist to explore possible causes and steps for its prevention. Your generous contributions are still a critical component to helping us better understand and curtail this unspeakable tragedy. To find out more, please visit www.sudc.org or call 1.800.620.SUDC.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the SUDC Program.
